MEDRVA is seeking a dynamic and inspiring Chief Nursing Officer. They are an independent, not-for-profit healthcare organization committed to delivering high-quality healthcare services to the community. With two state-of-the-art outpatient surgery centers providing comprehensive and compassionate care to our patients. Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, this position will promote the mission, vision, and values here in Richmond, VA.
Previous CNO experience or Director level experience within a fast paced outpatient surgery center or ambulatory surgery center setting is an ideal candidate. Equally important is someone who excels at building strong relationships with providers and staff. This role provides strategic leadership as the senior executive position responsible for all nursing and other designated patient care functions and services within the organization. The role assumes responsibility for assessing, planning, coordinating, implementing, and evaluating nursing practice on an organizational level. This position has accountability to ensure high quality, safe and appropriate nursing care, competency of clinical staff, and appropriate resource management related to patient care.
Requirements and Qualifications:
- Minimum of five years knowledge and experience in an Ambulatory Surgery Center or Outpatient Surgery Center in a hospital;
- Administrator on call one week every six weeks
- Working knowledge of budget and staffing policies
- BLS, ACLS Certification;
- CNOR Certification preferred
Education and Experience:
- Graduate of accredited School of Nursing
- Current Virginia RN license
- Bachelor's Degree preferred
- Two years management experience in an Ambulatory Surgery Center (including the pre/post-op and recovery area required)
- Experience in both the scrub and circulating role required
- Five years knowledge and experience in an Ambulatory Surgery Center or Outpatient Surgery Center in a hospital preferred
